| After nearly two years, it was time to seal the top. I scrubbed the top with soap and a brush, let it dry and then sprayed it with Griot’s Garage Fabric Protector. I found the instructions a little confusing with one part saying that the spray was safe for plastic windows, rubber seals and car paint; it also recommends masking off these same areas. It seems safer to mask them then it would be to try to recover if the spray did do any damage. It appears the spray did not, but I didn’t want to take the risk. After all this masking. I did have some spray go through the paper lappings. I wiped the spray away with no damaged to the paint or plastic windows. |
